Spoilsport! Norwich City then?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Re: Abandoned matches.

When I lived in London, I went to the very last game at Millwall's Old Den (Cold Blow Lane) ground on the 8th May 1993. Millwall lost the game 0-3 v Bristol Rovers.
The game didn't quite reach the final whistle, due to numerous pitch invasions and the fact the Crossbar got sat on top of and Buckled (no pun intended), Millwall fans also started ripping up turf as momentos.

That fixture.(Rovers v Millwall in any year was a nightmare as Millwall fans were always looking for trouble. The fixture if you can remember that far back was the subject of a Panorama Documentary way back in the late 70's when Millwall were at Eastville. They filmed the real hardcore dressed in white hoods stood at the back of the Muller road end. I got a feeling it was either later on that season or next when Millwall were banned from Cold Blow Lane for the Violence which tainted them. There was one match where they particularly disgraced themselves and all the next few home matches were at neutral venues some distance from Milwall.
Rovers away match was at Fratton Park which I went to for novelty value. Portsmouth fans turned out in large numbers to support Rovers as they hated Millwall so much. Rovers beat Millwall 3-1 and we sang "there's more of us than you to Millwall but reversed it for the Police when it was "there's more of you than us". Portsmouth fans singing " come and join us over here" at Rovers fans who obliged in numbers for one big sing song.
