Danny Senda...
Has left the club as of about 1500 today.
Somewhat sad, looked promising.
Doing this on iPhone, so details sparse.

The chap next door to me in the village is a mate of his.. always highly rated him..
Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.
Wow, how small does that make the squad now???

Am just wondering about the reasons.
Personal ?
Fitness ?
Surplus to requirements ?
Making way for potential signings in the January transfer window ?
And what about the future of Wayne Carlilse who is also on a short term contract ?

Seems a shame he could have been a valuable member of the squad but his injuries seem constant.
Hope he gets fit soon and has more luck elsewhere.

Along with Wayno too but I guess we always knew that was going to happen.

TORQUAY TILL I DIE....
Sad, but ultimately not suprising.
Wayno was only showing flashes of what he used to be, it seems whatever injury he picked up towards the end of last season has taken the edge of him. Although there was always a moronic few, I think its fair to say he won over most of our fans - especially with that cross at Wembley. I still think there is enough about him to be a star in the conference.
Senda is particularly sad too seeing as he'd battled back for so long to get another shot at playing professional football. Although the bare facts pretty much sum it up - 2 appearances, one he was withdrawn looking shattered after about 50mins, the other he got injured in. It seems the fitness just isn't there - yet.
The worst thing is that you could quite conceivably see these players coming back and biting us on the arse at some point in the future. However, we haven't got the resources to carry passengers at the moment hand on heart, they wern't bringing much to the party at this time.
Both were fairly respected names, I'm guessing on respectable money for this level. Room for Buckle to manoeuvre in the January transfer window perhaps?

Unfortunately both can't contribute anymore at the level Torquay are at. Wayno was 100% worth another go, he was excellent in the first half of last season but pretty much another half season out injured, pre season not 100% and I just think his legs have gone for the full time game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him rock up at a Conference club, Newport maybe.
Senda I never got to see play but he's not been involved and as I said at the start of the season we simply literally can't afford to carry passengers. Everybody has to be in with a chance of playing and contributing. He's played in the reserves a bit and if decided he's not of the standard anymore it's best he moves on. Again I reckon a conference club might take a punt on him.
Expect to see 1 or two loanees join in January and I still reckon we'll be in good shape. Where we are in the league is unbelievable, punching way above our weight in terms of finances but who knows. Anything in and around the top 10 is a great season for us this year all things considered.
Buckle has never been frightened of big decisions and changing the team when he sees fit, he's been vindicated every single time so i trust him 100% on these calls.
