The second game was always going to be though, after winning at Wimbledon there was expectation to live up to and 11 players who deserved to keep their starting places. I'm sure we will see changes to personnel and tactics over the coming weeks as the management and players settle in to the new way.

So the likes of Tonge, Pearce, Harding, Chappel, Cameron, Hawley, Mozika, the endless Knill loan signings, they all shared this objective, did they? Knill was a poor manager, who made poor signings and left us with a poor team.

Chris Hargreaves may have fluked a win at Wimbledon, or it may have been part of a strategic plan, but he has one hell of a job because of what he has been left behind.

The legacy of Knill is a team that cannot score, cannot defend, and do not know how to win. It is going to take more than two games for a rookie manager to turn that around. The home games are probably going to be key for our season and at least with CH in charge, there is sure to be a better, more positive, atmosphere at Plainmoor.

Wins should be expected against Bury, Accrington, Newport, Dagenham, Wycombe & Northampton - perhaps draw with Burton & Rochdale and lose to Scunny and Fleetwood.

Any points collected away from Plainmoor can be seen as a bonus, as long as we get 20+ points from home games.

We have 5 very winnable home games, the others are also in theory winnable due to geographical reasons.

We have to look at Bury, Accrington, Dagenham, Wycombe and Northampton (Tuesday night) as home bankers.

We just seem to get a result against Rochdale at home.
Fleetwood, why not , bloody long journey for them.

Scunny not to confident and Newport are so unpredictable.

In reality we will probably achieve 4 wins and 3 draws, which takes us to 41 points. WE need 9 points away then if 50 is the survival benchmark. We are staying up

Stefano referred to a GROUP of players. KN & LM hardly constituent a group, especially seeing as one of them barely featured in recent months, even if the accusation levelled at them was true.
