Neal Osborn was released - and has now joined Plymouth Parkway - which means we could face him in the First Round of the Devon Bowl, not sure whether he would be first choice there though.

Striker wise it would appear (unless Pittman finds another club) we are at capacity for the squad size we can expect. It really does not make sense to me why we would resign those that did not produce enough goals last season. Giving Reid a contract mid season so we could free up another loan spot seems a rash one now and I simply cannot understand keeping Keating who has never looked anything other than a busy hard working yet far from prolific player. Williams could be an asset at this level but if this group could not score enough goals to keep us up last year I fail to see how suddenly they will be able to produce enough for us to gain promotion this.

I think there has been modest progress squad building but still feel we need a big number 9 to hold the line and boss opposition central defenders and all our forwards are to say the least on the small side? Perhaps Owers will get a loan forward - we do need some season long consistency up front though to pose a challenge.

Would like to see a target man brought into the picture - we all knew that was our primary shortfall last season. until the little to late, loan arrival of Rhys Healy. Williams is not a CF and not sure Keating is the finished product for a promotion chasing team.

It would be madness not to have another striker, in my view two signed before the season begins. Owers is talking about the possibility of up to another 5 players by then. A goalkeeper probably two takes maybe two slots. A centre forward surely has to be another.

Under new management will Romain remain at Dagenham?

I would think if Romain had to choose between staying at Dagenham or coming here, he would stay in Essex. He has clearly stated that he does not want to play at NLS level.

If we can overcome our nemesis of last season namely a target man and prolific goal scorer (someone in the mould of Rhys Healy) then I think we are good to go.

Agreed - perhaps with a further midfielder and central defender?
