Sorry Bridport - can you explain that ?
Who is the 'new' Manager, if that's what you are saying ?
Or is this just a wild slog ?

All I can see www is about a caretaker and some applicants . . .

Never mind - just swipe at your Club.

You mean the second attempt, they were in the NLN last season.

Something you go away in, when you have no crib for a bed.

Trouble here Bridportgull, this is one of those, well want to do you people to say threads. Decisions are taken at football clubs, but the thing is in football, there are no guarantees, those decisions are going to be correct, or work out for the football club.

Just because a particular football club decides to change it's manager, and act quickly to replace him with another, doesn't mean it will lead to long term success, or an instant change in fortunes.

I see Cheltenham Town have parted company with manager Gary Johnson:. Hypothetical question - would Johnson be a good replacement if Ower's were to depart?

It's a well known routine now amongst York fans this sacking and replacing managers by Chairman Mao.......errrrr McGill, with someone who is always worse than the previous one.

The difference between York and Torquay is that York have an owner who is just too stupid to ever recruit the right candidate whereas Torquay have an owner who is just too clever to ever recruit the right candidate.

McGill will employ somebody on a whim, maybe even in situ Dave Penney or even Big Jonny Parkin as player / manager simply because he has no contacts and can't be arsed wasting his time making a effort to find the right man.

Osborne will employ somebody who is prepared to help execute the plan regardless of whether he can manage a football club or not.

Gary Johnson? If he's willing to purposefully mismanage the playing squad in return for less 'reward' than Owers then yes, he'd be an ideal replacement. :}

In the grand scheme of things, who really cares if York have sacked their manager. What relevance it has to this club or this forum I am not quite sure.
