Tomlin Signs

Post by Richinns »

According to Sky Sports news that is!

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 00,00.html

Another loan signing but is this the big striker we have been crying for??

EDIT - Wiki says he is only 5ft 10 and is a winger/striker - so NO!

EDIT EDIT! - Official club site says he is 6ft so may be??

If this is true, this is a great signing.

Whether he is a big forward or not doesn't matter. I saw this lad playing for Fisher athletic a couple of seasons ago in conference south (when fisher got to the playoff final i think) and he was absolutely unplayable, pace and power and scored a great goal that day.

Obviously did o.k at Yeovil, and has only slipped down the pecking order at Dagenham due to the form of Jon Nurse who has somewhat jumped ahead of him with some good form. Very happy with this signing if we can complete it.

No he is not a giant but at a modest 5'11 and is very versatile which makes him a better recruit than the mint boy als has a proven scoring record at this level and higher

SG told me yesterday we'd signed a striker from Daggers, i guessed everyone of theirs apart from him! Got to be honest, first thoughts were it was PHil Walsh, then please say it's Marvin Morgan, then I was convinced it was Josh Scott unsure if Tomlin was what we needed. But as ever will give him a chance. He's certainly not the target man we were led to believe we were after.

Free texts mate :) good job!

Funny how Daggers have 4 or 5 strikers that are 6'2 + yet we sign the only one that isn't!!! :-P

Let's not start that again :na: =D
Looks alright, could he could start tomorrow alongside Jake with Ronan on the bench?

Hmmm, 16 + 3 apps, 2 goals, I know he's not in the best side with DnR, but that's hardly the sort of rate about which we should be excited. Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing him off, but I reckon DnR fans will be considerably less upset about losing this chap that the Ipswich fans were about their guy.
Still, this does at least represent another team to add to PBs little book of friendly clubs, and he can't do any worse than Billy Kee, 'coz Billy will be on the bench.

I would imagine he and Murray up top with Jake and Zebs on the wings. Don't think Kee will be fit - he def not 100% at the moment. I think Eunan needs a rest - he has been short of his best recently so would imagine it will be Stanley and Pringle in the Middle. I expect Oastler not to make the bench due to 5 loans in 1 squad only - which is harsh on him as I rate the lad.

I hope Oastler keeps his place, Pringle was awful against Aldershot, I also hope we can find a way to get Mansell into midfield because his energy will be needed against Shrewsbury.
