Torquay United v Truro City Sat 16 Nov KO 3pm
United play Truro in the F A Trophy which is particularly interesting as Paul Wotton comes up against the Team he managed for 5 years
Tough one to call. 3-2 to United.

Let us concentrate on the league, this unwanted competition will only offer more injuries and suspensions, with half the league attendances and little prize money to compensate. Therefore, we are better off out of the Trophy...... another downside is falling behind with out fixtures. An FA cup run would of had huge financial rewards, had we "turned up" at Bishop Cleeve.
Score at ninety minutes;
Torquay 2 Truro 2
Truro win 4-3 on penalties.
I take it this match, as a cup game, is NOT included.in our predictions competition.

Torquay United 0 v 2 Truro... away win.
1-1 We're difficult to beat but we find it difficult to win of late.
Would only care about the trophy in the Final.

TUST #324
Chance to maybe try a new formation and give a run out to the likes of Tomlinson and Seymour.

While this a throwaway game with little inportance I would not include the likes of seymour or tomlinson, it sends the wrong message, they are not even considered squad material so playing them indicates a lack of ambition. I would prefer both of them off the wage bill so new blood could be brought in.

That's correct NCH. Only league games count for the prediction league.North Curry House wrote: 14 Nov 2024, 19:39 I take it this match, as a cup game, is NOT included.in our predictions competition.

Thank you for your confirmation, not that it means too much to me, as I am well down the league table but I treat it as a bit of fun.......for which I thank you.United62 wrote: 15 Nov 2024, 10:41 That's correct NCH. Only league games count for the prediction league.

Would like to see Wotton experiment with formation and try something different, just to see how it works.
I think Mussa and Young could be an exciting combination in time, but they need the right formation and to play together. Would like to see Jeffers given a start.
Tomlinson and Seymour - do we know they aren't in the plans, or just that they haven't been the best players to make the 16 last few games? Tomlinson has clearly been signed as a young backup CB and we may need him over the next few months as games come thick and fast. Seymour has looked poor - basically another Ash with lots of running but struggling with end product.
If both are still in the squad plans, play them to get minutes under the belt. If they aren't, would agree its pointless playing them.

although with todays signing of Jordan Thomas on loan as an attacking RB i imagine we wont be seeing that change
1-3 loss. useless game. Don’t care about the result.
