"that introduces the Yellow Army to the other side of their heroes."

Would that be the back side?

God I hope the web graphic has no relation to the design and layout of the new programme! It's shocking.
Mind you... it'll make my match day experience a lot cheaper... new shirt - no thanks (+£40.00), new prog - no thanks (+£2.50)... quids in! :)

There in-lies the problem. Not a criticism of you but the club. People will not spend money on poorly produced merchandise. Therefore we miss out on much needed revenue. This really needs addressing.

Well as long as the team is winning they could play in there underpants for all i care,as long as the content of TQ1 is up to sratch the cover could be a piece of paper full of crayon doodle's done by a hyperactive 3 year old for all i care, you know what they say, never judge a book by it's cover :)

I will buy a copy saturday,if i like what's in it i will buy it again,if dont ,i will not,the design of the cover niether here nor there really.

My worry is more to do with the design and content in general (not necessarily the cover). Books (magazines and progs) can however be judged by their cover... it's all about standing out from the crowd.
Fortunately for TUFC they are in a 'crowd of one' and to a degree I accept that the prog cover can indeed by in blue crayon by a hyperactive 3yr old!
As Richinns says, people will not shell out their hard earned cash on market stall tat and poorly produced merchandise.

I've asked if I can have a copy posted. Interesting test of whether the proverbial act is together (or not.... as the case may be!) :-|

10 seconds later:
"It Is possible to have this sent to you, you would need to contact the club main reception to order it and you’d need to pre pay either by card or by check for the programme plus postage then they’ll send it to you."
Wow!! I'm impressed.

Bit circuitous though!

30 seconds later:
Phoned main reception (after enduring a DREADFUL pre-recorded blah about Press 1 for this Press 2 for that voiced by an utterly disinterested girl, ) only to be told to phone back Monday. I offered to pay
there and then, but the chap promised there'd be some held back for post on Monday. At least it will give me a chance to hear what everyone thinks of it!!

In fairness, we are a football club. Our areas of expertise are not in Design and Marketing. It's a football programme - fans know what they are likely to find within, and if that is of interest to them, they will buy it. Surely we're not seriously suggesting people will opt not to buy it because they've taken offence at the font on the front cover?! That takes fickle to a new level.

Worryingly, I agree entirely with this.

Ok, fine, don't buy a new shirt because you think they are hideous, I wouldn't expect such lunacy, but to suggest that the new programme is a no go purchase because of the front cover font is akin to putting up for adoption your first born son because he has a big nose.

Matt.
