Lloyd Macklin??
Anyone know what has happened to him?! Since Oxford away when he was sent off I haven't seen anything of him. Even with our threadbare squad he can't make it on to the bench ahead of people like Saul Halpin and Rowe-Turner. It seems a strange one as I'm sure he was given a contract extension earlier in the season and now he can't get a place as one of the seven substitutes. I didn't really see enough of him when he was initially on loan to know if it was justified to take him on permanently but clearly PB thought highly enough of him to offer a contract and then an extension. It's weird that he's not deemed good enough to be a bench-warmer, plus there are no injury issues I'm aware of. Perhaps we will see more of him if a couple of players move on over the next couple of weeks.

I think he was quietly released at the same time as Wayno just before Christmas.

i cant see him being released, he's probably still paying for the fact he got sent off ages ago now!
i read somewhere last week we have a pro squad of 19 so if someone want to do the maths and see if he is part of that we'll know....![Bow ](./images/smilies/bow.gif)

He signed a three year contract recently so has to be still at the club.

My mistake, getting him confused with Danny Senda :-| its been a long day.
Good question anyway, does anyone know where he is? Is he training with us?

Some have an eye for it and some don't. Lloyd Macklin definitely has strength, pace and a howitzer of a shot in him.
Trust in the coaching staff to develop his all round game and the commitment of the player himself to succeed in the game and further his career.
His time will come, hopefully with us.

I have in my mind a vague recollection of something PB was quoted as having said indicating that he is far less then impressed with Mackers. I would guess, but not swear under oath, that it was on the back of the HE, but it wasn't the crux of the article.
Anyone else recall this, or was it a dream/slightly bemusing goldfish licking flashback?
Matt.

He was taking part in the warm-up before the match against Carlisle, because I remember thinking I hadnt seen him for ages and maybe he was on the bench.....but of course he wasnt! He gets listed in the HE match squads every week (the very last name!), but he hasnt been seen since the 5-5 with Swindon Ressies, and yeah he did sign a new three year contract!

It would be a pretty significant break from the norm if Bucks criticised a player personally in public. He rarely even speaks badly of team performances.
He's either injured, or Halpin has merely sneaked ahead of him in the pecking order. From what i've seen of both of them, that isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

If he didnt spend most wednesday nights in mambo with Lathaniel Rowe Turner they both may have broke into the first team by now. Don't see Benyon out till 3am a night before training and over the last two years he's gone from bit-part player to one of our main assets.

He definitely didn't take part in the Carlisle warm up.
He walked past me and my old man in civvie attire. He was at the club, but not on the pitch, he bumped fists with the lads as they come off the pitch from their Prematch warm up

I don't think Buckle has forgiven him for his sending off at Oxford so revelations of his nightly excursions won't endear him to the manager either.
