Well, with an easy 6 points off Grimsby next season, we might be alright.

Hell is empty, and all the devils are football clubs plying their trade in the Skrill Premier.

We've been there, we've been back. I think we may just do it again... eventually.

Oh is that all? I thought this was a thread about our league game next season at Blundell Park? :~D

I've had many a holiday on the fitties* in ClegVegas* and spent many a happy hour getting bombed in the Wellow so I know just what a hellhole Codland is. I think my highlights of going to Blundell Park include having rotten vegatables thrown at me and also enjoying the quirkiness of the greatest named area inside footy grounds - THE FINDUS FAMILY STAND. Love that name! :)

So all being well the Gulls will be flying back up to the seasi.......err........estuary side next season for another rhyme from the ancient mariner!

NOTES: *fitties is the colloquial term for a local holiday park in Cleggy, it's basically a council estate but made out of aluminium. Me mates mam used to own a tin can on there and we'd all go up and get wasted and eat corned beef hash for some odd reason.

*Cleggy or ClegVegas is the term us lads from Donny use to refer to the salubrious small idyll of Cleethorpes.

I also believe that our very own CH is a Cleggy lad so he'll have us pumped up for the trip next season.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Hold your horses, Andy - we aint off to Grimsby just yet. They're in the Conference Play Offs so might regain their league status before we get to play 'em ! :clown:

Tomo, Grimsby will not be up to it when it matters IMO. The pressure is really on them having had a few years now in the conference and I just think there are a few players in their squad that could go missing when the heat is really on. Halifax will take the play off final I believe.

Nah - it'll be Cambridge, Andy. You obviously don't believe in the Football Gods !! We returned to the league at their expense (thanks, Tim Sills) five years ago - now the Gods have decided it's our turn to come back down and Cambridge to take our place. That's how it works, Andy - you can stake your mortgage on it ! Happy Birthday by the way !

See ? That's how it works, Andy. Now do you believe in the Football Gods ? They decided Luton had served long enough penance in the Conference so let them return to the league but they had to pick out a big club to take their place - hence Bristol Rvrs. Mourhino sneered that Arsenal never win anything and the Gods decided that as Mourhino is a total ars*hole, they'd let Arsenal win the F.A. Cup. Similarly, they think Luis Suarez is a pr*ck so they let Man City win the Premier. They like the beer brewed in Burton - nectar to the Football Gods - so Burton will win the Div 2 play off final. Er, um ...... :-/ don't put any money on it.

Hope you took my advice by putting your mortgage on Cambridge, Andy. I. of course ....... didn't ! :(

Commiserations to Yellowsmiffy - (i) for leaving Cambridge to live in this sh*thole and (ii) seeing Cambridge return to the league whilst we go the other way. Life is a bitch sometimes !

Yeah, yeah - I know. It's the silly season ....... :) :)
