Disgrace Big Time
Disgrace Big Time
Tomorrow's game being postponed is a disgrace big time as Braintree have now had 3 in a row postponed which is a disgrace big time and a bit of a tragedy, covers should have been put over the pitch to stop it becoming waterlogged, hopefully the next home game will go ahead and there won't be a repeat of 3 in a row at home postponed like 2 seasons ago which was also a disgrace big time.

Who cares how many Braintree have had postponed? It rained a lot, in Britain, disgraceful!
Whilst poster Somerset is entitled to have their say, many areas have had more rain in December since records began. Braintree's postponements some would say are entirely their own fault, after all I believe they were (although not checked) all home match's at Cressing road.
For once a sensible if not frustrating decision, no point doing another Wrexham, telling everyone the games going to be on, having the away team travel and cost TUFC even more money. Better news ahead, the long range forecast is for the weather to dry up from the middle of next week.

Having read his previous posts he seems to a bit of a waterlogged pitch 'disgrace' troll.
A frozen pitch wouldn't be as much a disgrace as the club certainly can't afford under soil heating

I don't know if you are having a laugh or not. Maybe. An interesting perspective. Personally, I don't give a phlying pluck about Braintree, they could have all their games postponed as far as I am concerned and have to play seven games in a week. This works to the advantage of TUFC and is therefore a good thing.Somerset wrote:Tomorrow's game being postponed is a disgrace big time as Braintree have now had 3 in a row postponed which is a disgrace big time and a bit of a tragedy, covers should have been put over the pitch to stop it becoming waterlogged, hopefully the next home game will go ahead and there won't be a repeat of 3 in a row at home postponed like 2 seasons ago which was also a disgrace big time.

hi Somerset. Since you're so concerned about this disgrace big time, maybe you'd like to purchase these magnificent fully-pitch-covering covers for TUFC ? Who's surprised exactly that this game is postponed ? Nobody that's been trying to drive round Devon recently, that's for sure ! Our drainage problems at Plainmoor are well documented & well-known; hopefully there'll be some useful work done about it in the summer, using Truro's money.

Maybe we should forget everything else and just concentrate on putting a roof over the stadium. What a disgrace, no roof, no covers and its been raining continuous since early November. Oh forgot, we have no players either, no money.

Well I am embarrassed - tonight's Spotlight weather forecast showed a picture of Torbay with a voice-over saying that the bay had bucked the trend and had a mostly dry day only moments after showing St James Park getting ready despite a deluge and an announcement that Plainmoor was waterlogged. Maybe they used a library picture but the picture of the Plainmoor pitch looked perfectly OK.
Yes, the previous Board did do some extra works but they were only interested in saving money and always went against professional advice. They went for the cheap and non-fit-for-purpose solution like much of what they did in their final 12 months. They basically wasted money both at Plainmoor and Seale Hayne.

Not really, Exeters pitch looks really poor tonight - that will help them
Its forecast to pour down in the early hours of Saturday,
The club have been lambasted for not calling games off the day before ----> they then do that -----> Still criticised
Indeed, with the weather due in the area overnight, would Exeter's with be playable by 3pm Saturday, possibly not. It's not the area running down the Bristow's bench that's been causing the problem this season, against Wrexham I was a strip running down the popside down by the scoreboard, wen down there with a mate after the FGR game to screenshot the scoreboard , and that part of the pitch was still looking in a bad way.
As said in my first post, this is a sensible decision, it's more than highly likely the pitch will not be playable by 3pm Saturday, so why risk further financial loss.
