You're definitely glass half empty. I'll happily put my trust in the new setup to do things properly rather than take your depressive outlook on things.culmstockgull wrote: ↑30 May 2024, 18:56 Well that rules out cornish gulls line of Moxey being assistant coach, not sure for a club in our position in a lower league we can afford a non playing assistant manager, rather see the money spent on players.

I'd be happy to start totally afresh and couldn't care less where last seasons squad end up. Good luck to all of them but time for fresh ideas and new players to get behind.

Once cash is removed there won't be a choice. Use it or lose it. I prefer to keep my purchase history to myself rather than allow any fat cat bankers to study my spending habits. If you're that thirsty for a beer stay in Boots.

Good luck to the bloke. Time to move on with a whole new setup under a much better ownership model.

More sycophantic nonsense, the club was being run into the ground but obviously it would suit your agenda to pretend otherwise. I'm stating facts or will I be seeing you in court........

Unfortunately you're incorrect. A certain accountant set the stupidly low season ticket price offer some years ago which ultimately allowed Osborne to gain control of the club.exilegull wrote: ↑22 May 2024, 23:29 Accountants account for the figures and prepare the financial statements, they don’t set the budgets and make the spending decisions, the board of directors and management do that.
This should be taken in no way as a defence of Osborne, that is absolutely not the purpose - but there remains very little evidence that on the non-footballing side, there was any substantial extravagance. So the losses of 20k a week mostly came from having a playing budget well in excess of the capacity of the club.

Albeit an incompetent one so an incompetent secretary shouldn't come as a surprise to anyonebobbytanz1963 wrote: ↑22 May 2024, 21:48 The club had an accountant ? Next you will be saying there was a club secretary who monitored emails !!

Losses averaging £20k/week suggest you're talking your usual nonsense. Thank God the accountant has left the buildingwbw wrote: ↑22 May 2024, 17:03 To be fair, there is very little in there that suggests a poorly run or extravagant club.
To take a couple of examples;
Limited companies have to use the services of an external independent auditor to submit their annual accounts.
Who did you think does the badge work on shirts for own use and resale to supporters?
HMRC amount is not huge in terms of months, maybe 2 months at most.
Football club creditors are what you would expect. Very few, if any, club to club payments are made up front. Most are scheduled over a season.
Electricity costs for floodlights are horrendous, so don't think that amount is particularly excessive.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of Osborne’s tenure, the club was certainly not being run in a way that couldn't be covered by his cash injections, until the plug was pulled.

Hi Sam, don't take it to heart, the format usually works fine but on this occasion a lot of the audio was distorted by too many voices at once. That said I genuinely share your excitement at the prospect of having our club back from the clutches of those who had bad intentions. I think Dom needs a new mic as he's hard to hear at the best of times

It's not normally like that but I thought the same when I watched it. Worth noting for future episodes.

Maybe because you're inventing problems that clearly aren't evident in their relationship which is a negative viewpoint. Everything I've heard from Neil Warnock has been positive. He's not stupid.

I was sat with some Saints supporting mates at the pub last night and really enjoyed the exposure for us through Neil Warnock. It was nice to hear him speak of his love for the club and also mention the great support we have. It just keeps getting better after all the negatives of the years under Osborne and his cronies. Like a breath of fresh air.
