Before a lot of comments mention the ref who was atrocious

We were dreadful in the 2nd half and only have ourselves to blame

We played into Cheshams hands and it was so naive

Think PW made a mistake taking Zanzala off and I didn't agree with starting both strikers, he moved away from what has been working and I don't know why

Well too often this season we’ve struggled against part team teams & really honestly we haven't been anywhere near good enough to win the title.

Still though top 3 is something we need to really go for til end of the season, but confidence must be really low now, hard to come back from a result like this when you’ve blown a chance to really go for the title

Agree Gull1899. Why is it the team struggle against lower clubs and leave their best performance for top teams? This has been the case for a few seasons and I wonder if it is a psychological trait. It certainly needs looking into.
Generally we shouldn't be losing at home to part-time teams which has been the case with the two losses this season.
I can only conclude we must have some deficiencies in the squad if we cannot score goals against lower part-time clubs. Our GD is lower than other clubs in the promotion race and could well determine our fate.

Only ever left two games early, THAT match against Exeter and today.

No desire to be harsh but PW has to take the blame today, no invention, routines or motivation. How many shots on target did we actually have? Even in the warm up you could see Chesham were more up for it, they were more motivated, more purposeful He can’t blame the stadium today it was rocking up until their second.
This “Southgate esq” tactic of pass it across the back and hope, has got to go, it’s just playing into opposition hands, constantly, as it did today, Weymouth and other games where we’ve let leads slip.
Yes the ref. was sh1t, Cheshams slow it down tactic was obvious from 10 mins in but it worked, how can we so naive in so many games?
We have good players, their not doing it,
Respectfully PW, why?

We expect ref's to be bad in this league but this one exceeded everyone's expectations, we got exactly what we deserved from the game, Team selection was a big mistake, we picked only two midfielders, threlkeld and hayfield, neither of which has a creative bone in their body although hayfield does puts in a shift, this was evidenced by the fact that wotton spent most of the first half screaming for the ball to go long.He should never have subbed Zanzala as early as he did who was far more of a threat up front especially as their back four was visibly tiring. Their first goal was 90 per cent down to threlkeld who tracked alongside their ball carrier for nearly half the pitch without once ever attempting a tackle, as a result the ball goes across and the the subsquent shot crawled under Hamon who should have done a whole lot better, after that we were headless chickens trying to pass the ball into the net, lacking anyone to grab hold of the ball and they deserved their winner on the second half performance alone.

I thought the first half was as good as we've played at home for a long time , Good pace and movement but we just cannot seem to get the second goal when ahead and it was very encouraging to see us come out second half and start the first ten minutes in the same way but as soon as they scored I was shocked at our lack of response, we seemed shell-shocked and drained of belief and confidence, I was expecting us to storm back and put them under real pressure but it never happened, just overpassing the ball, trying to create the perfect opportunity and no-one prepared to have a shot. Hasani will shoot but the manager doesn't seem to rate him , not even in the 16. Mussa was useless when he came on , why do we persist with him ?

Unfortunately two up front didn’t work, cook actually seems better coming on as a sub. I don’t know why he doesn’t rate Hassani as he seems to offer more in midfield.
We were slow again in build up play and going forward, giving them ample time to reorganise themselves. Every team plays like it’s their cup final against us, you could see by how they celebrated, but we don’t have the guile to work through that.
Some of the shooting was woeful and times when they could have taken a shot, they didn’t. I thought every sub played poorly, WJD seems lost, Mussa has one good moment in five.

Even the kick offs are frustrating, pass it back and then hit it long.

I like Wotton, but I have no idea if his tactics are poor or the players just aren’t following them.

In the first half we looked much the better side and Chesham offered nothing at all.
Chesham are a very poor side time wasting from minute 1 and they sum up everything bad about this league.
However once they scored, a really poor goal conceded from our point of view, the game changed. It gave them hope when before the goal they expected to lose as they offered so little going forward.
I was very dissappointed with our second half performance. Not one of the Subs made any impact. Jordan Young was very good in the first half but in the second half not one player upped his game.
This was a very damaging loss but we must put it behind us and just go all out to win the last 4 games.
Truro are flying now with a really mean defence. Best in the League.
It is all in our hands. Team selection has never been so important.
Will Jenkins Davies has to start. Threlkeld should be replaced by Hasani.
Must win via Slough next Saturday. All we can do is support the team from minute 1 and hope Paul Wotton picks his best most creative players.
