"There has been a massive roar go around the ground that it is hard to figure out why..." Are they serious? Thick as a plank.

Re: Port vale
Burslem is a dive yes. The stadium is unfinished but as for horrible I'm not sure... But as for a horrible set of fans? I resent that, like every football club you have the pillocks. I don't like to see any club go into admin let alone one of my own, but this comment and the other comment about a 'tosser' commentator hardly makes it fair that the majority of genuine nice fans at Vale deserve to be going what they're going through now.gullintwoplaces wrote:Only been there once, many years ago. We lost 1-0 and experienced a lot of nastiness after the game. A horrible set of fans in a horrible ground in a horrible town (Burslem) that looks like it has been bombed randomly by the US Airforce.

Re: Port Vale vs Torquay United
As a Vale fan I should probably advise you not to tell any Port Vale fans that they play in Stoke if you are up in the Midlands this weekend lol it might not go down to well! As I have said in another thread Vale really are playing awful at the moment and our fans don't help, look out for the boos if we don't score in the first half an hour!! (Which is unlikely to happen!) I predict a Torquay win to be fair and a clean sheet as we can't hit a cows arse with a banjo at the moment! Marc Richards as you quite rightly mention would be the first name on the sheet is currently injured along with Lewis Haldane (although that is a blessing in disguise) and the rest of them are plain useless! My advice is to slap Torquay on any accumulators for this weekend!

Re: Friday's opponents, Port Vale FC
That true Matt and unfortunately I cant deny any of that! I had a feeling we would lose tonight and indeed I fear that not only the squad currently weakened by injury but the actual whole squad might not be the amazing team that the fans believed it was at the start of the season. It seems that although the majority of the team saw us climb to top spot in the first half of last season is still here, that the following disaster of the next 6 months under Jim Gannon et al still hangs over us and the return of Micky Adams may have deluded a lot of people into thinking that we would emulate what we had before however as you quite rightly point out we are actually up the creek. I fully expect a Gulls win at the weekend, which of course I won't be too upset about unless of course it turns out to be a cricket score (quite possible) oh and the predicable influx of mates texting and phoning me all weekend! Good god I hate these games!

Re: Friday's opponents, Port Vale FC
Trust me I'm a Vale fan (as well as Torquay of course) and that website is nothing to go on, its full of absolute idiots! The club isn't in the best of situations but it's not like that site makes out... In fact a lot of the problems we're in are partly down to SOME the idiots on that site who like to jump on the bandwagon with each other and do nothing but moan and rip the club apart. They came up with genius plan over the summer of 'Starve them out' whereby they didn't buy season tickets in order to remove the old board due to financial problems! Well the old board has gone and now look at who is moaning about the money situation.ferrarilover wrote:Are in a spot of bother, it would seem...

Registering only takes 10 seconds (you can't post, but for this, you need only read). Have a look around, it seems they are proper up the creek without a paddle and that, among other things, they might be in administration by the time they play us and that the £5 ticket offer is merely a way of papering over the cracks of dwindling crowds and the looming spectre of death.
Matt.
Sorry about the rant but enter that site with caution!

Great just what we need... Especially considering Stevenage are cheating bas****s of the highest order. Trying to get players sent off, rolling round on the floor and having a mothers meeting by the dugout...
