Re: Torquay United v Plymouth Argyle, 8th September 2012.

What is everyone's prediction for the attendance? It would be good to see it around the 5000 mark but perhaps that's being a little ambitious.

Club S.O.S

Looks like they need a hand.

Taken from the OS:
WE are appealing to the Yellow Army to spend a few hours down at Plainmoor making your stadium look even smarter for the Devon derby with Plymouth on Saturday.
We have a fantastic set of new seats for the Family Stand and our maintenance team has been plugging away installing this terrific addition to the ground.
Time is catching up, however, and we would welcome help from the Yellow Army in finishing the job. If you have an electric drill, 10ml ratchet set, quick-release clamps, spare time and a sense of humour, or even just a couple of these, pop on down to Plainmoor, where we’ll even make you a cup of tea.

Torquay Vs Argyle

Wasn't sure whether to post this in the yellow army or here, but I decided the devon derbies are all about banter so this section is most fitting. If we could emulate just half the atmosphere we created at home park last season then we'll have a great noise inside plainmoor. I'll be standing on the popside for this one as close to the middle as I can get. I think the yellow army need to get to work in organising flags, balloons, yellow pages etc for this game.
Score prediction:2-0
Attendance:5000 ish

At the end of the day, my 8 year old lad enjoyed his best day ever at Plainmoor today and @ £ 25 for a season ticket for u12s that represents brilliant vfm for me when you consider he cost of other kids attractions!
Yes there are, but would it not be nice to be able to fill the stand with people taking advantage of a cheap family deal of sorts for that stand and that stand only?

Re: Brilliant entertainment!

The entertainment is excellent. However, I don't think £20 to sit in the family stand is money well spent. Raising the price for that stand was certainly the easy option, but it was certainly not a fair option. It seems ridiculous that both stands are priced the same.

Re: Argyle tickets - 8th September

Last season, many families and old folk were forced to stand in a pretty packed popside, I'd imagine alot of them refused to do this. This season we have a nice shiny new stand which is a alot more inviting to these people. The gate for this seasons derbies will be far greater.

If he wanted to do that he could just create a thread on here labelled "Helen Chamberlain gets her rat out".

I wonder what the attendance will be. Should be in the 5000s I think.

Re: Leeds United pre season game at Plainmoor

They sold out their allocation and the ground was full. Your allocation is greater as we have a new stand so you can't really compare the two. Although I'd admit Leeds have a bigger fan base than Birmingham. I was at Birmingham vs Leeds this season, Leeds took about 4000 on a tuesday night to St andrews so fair play to them.

This is why people don't like you, even when you're trying to be level headed you come out with "you say you have had big clubs down in torquay in the past. who q.p.r.? burnley? bristol city?"

It will be open alright. They'll call it a trial run or something.

Yeah i'm nine years old and I follow my football club so religously that i'm deaf to any suggestions on the enhancement of value, I also like to try put others down who don't have the same opinion as me, oh and I love ferraris cos they're super duper cool.
